London: The end of the year is upon us and it brings a period of dates spent with family members who we avoid all year, presents we never wished to receive and overeating (cheer – just cheer), but it also brings a time of reflection.

Unwillingly, questions like: What did I do this year? And what have I accomplished? Start to pop in our heads. And, let’s be honest, along with our goals (the vegetarian diet and the quit smoking thing) we probably also missed a couple of London events.
While here at Printsome although we can’t help you with your spiritual path (sorry), we sure can give you a little heads up of what London events are gathering across 2014. Just so that next year’s things-I-didn’t-do list doesn’t include that wicked exhibit everyone keeps talking about.
What: Bailey’s Stardust
Where: The National Portrait Gallery
When: It starts February 6th and runs until June 1st.
Why? David Bailey himself will select 250 pictures that will encompass different themes and times of his entire career.
What: London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 14/15
Where: Various venues (check out the official London Fashion Week website for more info)
When: It kicks off on February 13th and ends on the 20th of the same month
Why: It’s London fashion week, the greatest of London events.
Where: Tate Modern
When: It will also start on February 13th and will exhibit till May 26th.
Why: He’s known as one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century and the founding father or Pop Art. If that’s not enough reason, then I don’t know what is.
What: Pixar in concert
Where: Royal Albert Hall
When: February 22nd. They’ll have two presentations: one at 2:00pm and the second one at 7:00pm
Why: A live orchestra along with projections will be performing the best of the Pixar movies. If you’ve never liked any Pixar movie then you have no soul – or you came out of your mother’s uterus when you were 40.
What: Vogue Festival
Where: Queen Elizabeth Hall
When: March 29th + March 30th
Why: Eleganza, extravaganza! Harrods will be partnering with Vogue magazine to bring the third edition of the festival, which promises to be the biggest one yet. A star-studded panel will bring interviews, workshops, makeovers and more.
Where: Also the Tate Modern
When: It will open on April 17th and you’ll have a chance to see it until September 7th.
Why: While Matisse is mostly known for his paintings, the cut-outs he created during the last years of his life have been titled by some as the most inspired pieces of his entire career. Don’t miss the chance to see the work of one of the painters who, along with Picasso, helped define the art of the early 20th century.
What: London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 15
Where: As above, various venues (check out the official London Fashion Week website for more info)
When: Get your outfits ready for the week that starts on Septmerber 18th and ends the 25th of the same month.
Why: IT’S LONDON FASHION WEEK.
Bonus: 2014 will mark William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday! While his official birth date is the 26th of April, we’ll see celebrations through the entire month with all kind of festivities. Don’t miss the celebration of one of the greatest writers that has ever lived.
